Gphone 2.0 - the new Tmobile Mytouch3G

The Tmobile My Touch 3G is a second generation Gphone and will be available from Tmobile (August 5); it looks like a winner.  The new handset is based on the HTC magic.  Featuring an onscreen keyboard, 4Gig of memory, and a 5M camera(still no flash?), the new smartphone is an evolutionary improvement over the old G1.  The MyTouch  has several ergonomic improvements but still has a ways to go to match Apples' Iphone.

Sporting the new 1.50 version of Android, The Gphone now has available more than 6000 apps available for downloading.  The fact that the new phone now supports Microsoft Exchange should also be a big plus.

Tmobile is offering the $200 phone with a combined voice and unlimited data plan for $65/month (which is $250/ year cheaper than the AT&T Iphone).    For price conscience users, the HTC G1 is still available for $150 and a barebones plan is available for $50/month.
